Important notice for all Clients:-
These rates change on the 1st April 2017.
Changes are as follows:-
25 and Over up to £7.50 per hour from £7.20 per hour
21-24 up to £7.50 per hour from £6.95 per hour
18-20 up to £5.60 per hour from £5.55 per hour
Under 18 up to £4.05 per hour from £4.00 per hour
Apprentice* up to £3.50 per hour from £3.40 per hour
*Apprentices
Apprentices are entitled to the apprentice rate if they’re either:
- aged under 19
- aged 19 or over and in the first year of their apprenticeship
Example 1 - An apprentice aged 22 in the first year of their apprenticeship is entitled to a minimum hourly rate of £3.40.
Apprentices are entitled to the minimum wage for their age if they both:
- are aged 19 or over
- have completed the first year of their apprenticeship
Example 2 - An apprentice aged 22 who has completed the first year of their apprenticeship is entitled to a minimum hourly rate of £6.95
