Director Mark Woffenden and Event Organiser Christina Shiels from Lucy Walker Recruitment were delighted to meet up with Gina Trotter (Left of Picture) from Candlelighters recently to present the cheque for £2617 raised for the Yorkshire based Children's Cancer Charity.
A team of 15 battle hardened Lucy Walker Recruitment employees from the Leeds and Manchester Offices set out to complete the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on 29th September 2017, climbing the Three Peaks in the Yorkshire Dales, Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough in terrible conditions in just over 12 hours. Our story of the day is listed here. The event was titled #25425 with the 25 mile walk coming in our 25th year in business.
Christina Shiels commented, "The walk proved tougher than any of us ever expected. It was a gruelling but ultimately hugely rewarding team building event and was a fantastic way to mark our 25th Year in business. We are delighted with the amount raised for the Candlelighters Charity and thank everyone, both businesses and individuals, who supported us with donations. It was a day that will last long in the memory, mostly for good reasons!”
