3 peaks

To celebrate 25 years in business, later this year, we are planning a 25 Mile Charity walk, in aid of Candlelighters, the Children's Cancer Charity.

Our route will be 'The Yorkshire Three Peaks'.

The Yorkshire Three Peaks are situated in the Yorkshire Dales and the challenge consists of climbing the summit of Pen-y-ghent (694m; 2,227 ft), Whernside (736 m; 2415 ft) and Ingleborough (723m; 2,372ft) in less than 12 hours. The 25-mile circular route is popular amongst avid hikers, challenge seekers and charity fundraisers. The Yorkshire Three Peaks is accessible for everyone and a range of people complete the 12-hour challenge or just tackle one peak at time.

The Charity walk will take place on Friday 29th September, with the team staying overnight in Kendal, Cumbria, both before and after the walk. We are anticipating  the walk will take the team 12 hours.

Finance Director Mark Woffenden, explained, "We wanted to mark the 25th Anniversary in a way which would see others benefit from what we did, which is why a sponsored walk in aid of charity made perfect sense to us. When we looked at the options for our walk, it was The Yorkshire Three Peaks which stood out for us. The team are really excited by the challenge ahead. Fingers crossed for a dry day!"

Further details of our Training and how to donate to the Charity will follow in due course and we will be using the  #25425 hashtag,  symbolising "25 miles 4 25 years", to promote the walk.
